The Texas Eagle Armory ambidextrous AR-15 charging handle seeks to relieve some of the problems with the traditional Mil-Spec Charging handles, to include minimizing the weight. The Texas Eagle Armory charging handle introduces a heavy duty 7075-T6 aluminum construction, with latches that are high-strength for a perfect balance of weight and durability. With a Mil-Spec charging handle you get a small latch on the left side that will not engage both sides, which ends up being an uneven pull. What you get is drag and uncertainty of proper function for the rifle. Military charging handles are intended for two-fingers to grasp and charge, the Texas eagle Armory features larger, ambidextrous latches ideal for charging with the blade of your palm or finger for increased speed and reliability. The nice part of these charging handles is that once you engage either side of the handle both sides engage, which eliminates any drag or pinching of the charging handle and upper receiver. These ambidextrous charging handles are an excellent accessory for individuals who have scoped AR-15’s that may intervene or cover their charging handle.
